Dell Horoscope Magazine issue January 2007

In this article I took a numerical and astrological look forward at what became known as “The Great Recession”. This piece covers what the Federal Reserve went through as well as the effect the economic downturn would have on the price of gold. At the time I started writing this article, 2005, the average price of gold was a little over $400.00 per ounce. By 2012 it was nearly $1,700.00 per ounce, before retreating in price.

I wrote: “Some refer to gold as a “barbaric relic”, while others point out the incidences at Three Mile Island and Chernobyl and say that the nuclear power industry is dead. Numerically, this is not the case. Not only could gold and uranium become profitable in the coming years but they may also become essential.”

“If you look at and ephemeris for planetary movements from the period from 2008 to 2012, you'll see a Pluto enters Capricorn and Neptune leaves Aquarius. These two major planetary transits could signal a major change in status for the dollar, causing gold rise to pedestal once again. Together, transiting and progressed aspects, in comparison to pivotal institutions, may offer a glimpse of what the future holds.”

Here is the article.

“21st Century Wealth: Turn a Silver Lining into Gold”

When storm clouds appear on the horizon, we know that the weather is about to change. Once the storm passes, we often come out from shelter to see just what has become of the landscape and the changes left behind. This is where the proverbial silver lining comes into play; for it is true that with every storm cloud there is a silver lining. Eliminated by the golden rays of the sun, the clouds of change with their silver linings are on our horizon.

The 21st century is here and with it, "numerically", a new world order. From the year 2000 to 2999, we in the Western world will carry the number two with us in our daily lives. The numerical vibratory rate of the number two in the new millennium brings Europe and the Americas into a new realm. We may soon find ourselves surveying the world, making statements like the one the Wizard of Oz's Dorothy made after the tornado had passed: "I don't think were in Kansas anymore."

One thing is certain over time you can always count on things to change. And the change isn't always easy. Change brings the dissolution of traditional ways to which we have become so accustomed. Change replaces the familiar with the unknown, an uncomfortable aspect for many of us.

We are looking at fundamental changes, changes in the way we live our lives. How things are changing and what they are changing into is the question. Look for the answers, it may be appropriate to look at where we are headed at this time. A friend quoting his grandfather, once said, "If you keep going the way you're going, you're going to end up where you're headed." So where are we headed?

The formation of the European Union, NAFTA, and now CAFTA is making national borders a thing of the past. These large-scale changes have opened up international commerce and multicultural exchange to levels unprecedented in the history of mankind. New economic opportunities, brought to millions, will directly and indirectly create stressful demands on the planet Earth's natural resources.

The world is becoming one. It's unavoidable. It’s global. Globalization will, in many ways, bring about changes in the way we live our lives. Globalization may very well be a catalyst for the Aquarian age.

At the forefront of this change are the citizens of China and India. These two mega countries could become epicenters of the New Age. Both countries have extremely large populations, and both have shown themselves to be eager to join the computer-techno-industrial world. China itself has created the world's largest economy through eighteen of the previous twenty centuries.

It is certain that both Chinese and Indian cultural values and traditions will influence the world's focus through the coming century. In order to chart our potential future, it is not only necessary to examine the planets movements through the heavens, but it is also imperative that we take into account these two cultures along with the numerical meanings of the number two.

Meetings for numbers just like the meanings for words very according to their conjoined relationship with other numbers. In the English language the word branch is an example of this variance. A branch could be of a tree. It could be a branch of the library or you could branch out into your neighborhood: Same word, with various meanings influenced by the other words around it.

Numerically, the number two can have varied meetings as well. The number two can represent things that are yellow in color. It can represent the dualistic elements of conflict and cooperation. The number two can represent pairs of things, like arms, legs, and eyes. Of all the meanings for the number two, the most significant one that could play a big part in our future may be objects that are yellow in color; Gold and yellowcake uranium specifically.

Some refer to gold as a “barbaric relic” while others point out the incidences at Three Mile Island and Chernobyl and say that the nuclear power industry is dead. Numerically, this is not the case. Not only could gold and uranium become profitable in the coming years but they may also become essential.

The concept of gold as something special dates back to biblical times. The pharaohs of Egypt used gold to express their supreme power, while other ancient cultures worship golden deities. The first coin, a mix of gold and silver, was minted around 600 BC, in Lydia (currently Turkey). Soon after, ancient Mediterranean cultures picked up the idea and began using coins in commerce. Gold is still minted today, but the coins are mainly for collecting or as a hedge against inflation. Originally backed by gold or silver, most currencies are no longer redeemable for anything other than more paper money. As a society, we are perfectly happy and accustomed to having "fiat' or printed paper money for exchange, leaving gold and silver to the jewelry stores. Some societies see things differently.

The Chinese have seen their share of paper currency based hyperinflation over the centuries, leaving an ingrained respect for the consistently viable metal. Although communist China had restricted the change of goal since taking power in 1949, the government has recently opened the bullion market to allow its citizens to purchase gold again.

India has long held gold as a measure of prosperity. The marriage season there is well known for a time when gold ceremony comes together in age-old traditions. With these two countries on the road to economic growth is easy to see that the accumulation of gold for dowries and savings will increase over time.

China's moves to reopen his bullion market and India’s traditions aren’t the only potential reasons for golds return. Golds place as a preferred holding to paper money may become wide spread over the coming years. Today's paper or fiat currencies have one problem: they have no backing or support by a commodity. If or when a fiat currency loses its value, it's usually gone forever. The US dollar is a fiat currency.

Previous exercises of the US Federal Reserve system's monetary policies have left a lot of US dollars, the world's reserve currency, crammed and packed into vaults everywhere. From offshore accounts to the central banks of Russia, China, Japan, and Taiwan, dollars are stacked up like cords of wood. If, for some reason such as transference of the euro for the dollar and international oil/commodities trading, the dollar dropped significantly, a case of musical chairs could begin, with a coveted chair the golden.

If you look at and ephemeris for planetary movements from the period from 2008 to 2012, you'll see a Pluto enters Capricorn and Neptune leaves Aquarius. These two major planetary transits could signal a major change in status for the dollar, causing gold rise to pedestal once again. Together, transiting and progressed aspects, in comparison to pivotal institutions, may offer a glimpse of what the future holds.

As Neptune currently transits a sign of Aquarius and an 11th house it appears that haze has clouded the ability of the masses to reason. Neptune, in opposition to golden-laced Leo's fifth house of speculation, has cast its shadow of doubt on the possession of the precious metal and diluted financial perspectives as well. Neptune will finally finish his tenure in Aquarius in late 2012. Once the great deceiver has left 11th house and the "community of man" in its wake, financial sobriety may be in demand.

Mark Twain was to said, "History doesn't repeat itself, but it does rhyme." For an example of this cosmic rhythm, look back at the astrological mirror image during the late 1920s, as Neptune traveled from the latter edges of Leo into the pristine House of Virgo, appeared that ushered in the Great Depression, the New Deal, and World War Two.

At the same time that Neptune is packing its bags, Pluto is making its entrance into the sobering side of Capricorn. Here's where it gets interesting.

Upon entering Capricorn, Pluto immediately begins knocking at the front door of one of the Federal Reserve System’s charts (Dec. 23, 1913, 6:02 P.M., Washington, D.C.) this chart, referred to here as "conception" is drawn for the time and place that the Glass-Owen Bill, creating the Federal Reserve System, was signed by Pres. Woodrow Wilson.

The second chart for The Reserve discussed here is for the day that it opened its doors for business, referred to here as its "birth" (November 16, 1914, 8:00 A.M., Washington DC). Here you will find transiting Pluto, entering Capricorn, offering his calling card in the form of an opposition to the natal Saturn-Pluto conjunction. As The Reserve is synonymous with today's dollar, the natal Sun's represent both in this equation.

The Reserve and its compatriot the dollar will not go down without a fight. It will take an astrological barrage to demure what some have coined The Creature from Jeckel Island. That onslaught is seen at first abated by foreign interest of dubious concern.

Looking at The Reserve’s November 16, 1914, birth chart and the challenges the dollar faces may show up escorted by solar eclipse of January 26, 2009. This eclipse occurs soon after Pluto makes its polarizing pull to its natal Saturn-Pluto conjunction. This eclipse at 6° Aquarius squares the natal Moon-Mercury conjunction, while Neptune squares natal Sun exact! As aspects made by Pluto can be felt for up to five years or more going forward, one can get a glimpse of what The Reserve may experience in this chart, over that projected period.

In The Reserve’s December 23, 1913, conception chart, transiting Pluto will be in the process of leaving it series of conjunctions to The Reserve’s natal Sun and oppositions to its natal Pluto. The transit chart for August 21, 2010 shows a transiting Pluto's problematic placement becomes compounded by Uranus, Saturn, and Jupiter's square aspects to The Reserve’s natal Sun-Pluto opposition. This chart may be a sort of “going away” present that Pluto leaves behind.

We will look at the 2009 and 2010 charts in a moment but first, to gain more perspective, let's take a peek at earlier transiting aspects in the charts for The Federal Reserve. Let’s take a brief look back at the possible conception and known birth charts associated with that fateful day we call 9/11.

Among the pages of the 9/11 Commission Report, in describing the activities of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, alleged mastermind behind the 9/11 attacks, the commission states: “Much of his activity in mid-1999 revolved around the collection of training and informational materials for participants in the planes operation." The Commission also reported, "Bin Laden paid particular attention to the 1999 training session." Nostradamus once wrote quatrain that began with the words, "in the year 1999 seven months." Could Nostradamus have been referring to the same time? For to buy the 9/11 commission question the lunar eclipse chart for July 28, 1999 may offer insight to this question.

The chart set for Kabul, in the early evening of a fanatical Full Moon, offers a view of the destructive energies to befall the Fed. The focal point here is the lunar conjunction and the solar opposition to the Reserve’s seventh-house Uranus, house of open enemies. Transiting Neptune is seen caught up in the eclipse, joining the Moon, as wayward souls plan their demise. The terrorist attempt to disrupt the status of American prosperity is illustrated by the addition of the transiting Jupiter square aspect to Uranus, along with the transiting Venus inconjunct angle to Uranus.

The chart comparison of the day The Reserve opened its doors and the period Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was planning the 9/11 attacks presents more perspective on events and outcomes. Here are the lunar eclipse falls square aspects to the Reserve’s Moon-Mercury conjunction. The Sun, ruling the ninth house, representing foreign religious fanatics, is again working with its counterpart, the Moon, aided by Neptunian foresight, to bring about disruption and dissolution to business activity. The potential for interrupting business is emphasized by transiting Uranus’s retrograde conjunction to the third-house Jupiter and transiting Jupiter's opposition to The Reserve’s Moon-Mercury conjunction. Transiting Saturn square aspect to the third-house Jupiter plays into the almost uncontrollable expansion of the money supply, brought about by the Uranus conjunction to Jupiter, by presenting the potential for recession following the attacks. Most curious of all may be the first-house transiting Pluto's placement, set almost exactly between The Reserve’s first-house Mars and Venus. It's almost as though Pluto is acting as a skilled juggler, transforming these two prominent planets for The Reserve’s self-interest.

In this view, let's focus on the planet that cast a shadow of war across The Reserve’s 1913 chart. Mars makes quite a statement with its near exact conjunction natal Sun during the airborne reign of terror. Mars conjunct the sixth-house Sun attacks the natal Sun-Pluto opposition. In The Reserve’s charts, you will see that the natal Saturn-Pluto conjunction of the “birth” chart and Sun-Pluto opposition in the “conception” chart are continually activated and subsequently agitated over the coming years. The combination of one chart’s natal conjunction and the other chart’s natal opposition in the 0° to 2° area of Cancer/Capricorn may turn out to be The Reserve’s Achilles' heel. The remainder of the transiting planets shows the many challenges that The Reserve faced at that time, but it is the transits and progressions to the natal Sun-Pluto opposition in the “conception” chart and Saturn-Pluto conjunction the “birth” chart that may highlight the future of the Fed.

The 1913 Federal Reserve’s progressed chart for September 11, 2001, offers more insight into The Reserve’s trajectory as well. Following the attack on the World Trade Center and Pentagon, the economy headed south. Some say it was already headed that way, and the plane struck the twin towers, shockwaves rippled throughout the financial community. The Federal Reserve had to act, and act it did by lowering interest rates to generational loans and printing an abundance of dollars.

Progress chart shows challenges presented by a pair of square aspects formed by the progressed ninth-house Sun. Foreigners indeed! That ninth House has some foreign accent, this time militant. The progressed Sun in Aries in square aspect of the natal sixth-house Sun from the natal ninth-house shows that Bin Laden's intentions were to attack America's financial health. The progressed Sun's square to the natal twelfth-house Pluto is a glimpse of the secretive, sacrificial, diabolical operation it would take to do the job.

A second look at the progress chart shows the Calvary coming to the rescue, as progressed Jupiter rides through the reserves eighth-house, gathering other people's money and expanding foreign debts. Progressed Jupiter, sextile aspect to the natal fifth-house Mercury, and trine to the natal eleventh-house Saturn, offer support for the dollar. Jupiter, via and expanding trade deficit, saved the economy and the day, but may have just put off the inevitable.

The solar eclipse of January 26, 2009, compared to The Reserve’s 1914 “birth” chart reveals what may be beginning of the end of what we have come to know as the printed dollar. The Jupiter enhanced eclipse falls in the third house of buying and selling and forms square aspects to The Reserve’s Moon-Mercury conjunction indicating possibilities of large institutions abandoning the greenback on the horizon. This Jupiter assisted eclipse follows the ingress Jupiter into Capricorn, then Aquarius. These two ingress points, both at 0°, form oppositions to The Reserve’s Saturn-Pluto conjunction and into then to the O*placement of Neptune. It's possible, that Jupiter activating these points may serve to expand the selling of dollars by those who are out of reach of The Reserve’s influence. These ingress points may also offer event markers to follow in the development of the stellar path.

With the transiting Neptune exactly square The Reserve’s Sun we may see a case of the blind leading the blind in an attempt walk out of an economic fog. With abrogated benchmarks of inflation, no one may really know the “value of a dollar”.

Of course, Pluto, presenting its opposition to The Reserve’s Saturn-Pluto conjunction, takes a leading role in the transformation of the monetary magnet. Pluto's role may be to balance the books of the coming years.

In the chart for August 21, 2010, transiting Pluto’s approaching conjunction to the natal Sun, opposing the natal Pluto, creates opportunity for transiting Uranus, Jupiter, and Saturn to form grand square aspects and thereby challenge the dollar. Transiting Uranus in the ninth-house, posing as uncontrollable foreign countries and investors, not only seeks to balance out the mercurial third-house exchange rates, but also is intent on creating havoc for the natal Sun and Pluto, forcing radical changes upon The Reserve and the dollar. Transiting Pluto, moving through the natal sixth-house, puts The Reserve’s health to the test, possibly testing it over the ensuing years to the point of being destroyed and rebuilt --- the Pluto-ruled Scorpio cycle. Jupiter, transiting the tenth-house and opposing transiting Saturn while squaring the natal Sun Pluto, spells a loss of status for the greenback in international business. It also indicates restructured methods of currency exchange at home. Loss of status of the dollar could result in loss of confidence in all fiat monies.

The progressed chart for August 21, 2010 reveals reduction of dollar commerce as the ninth-house progressed Mercury forms a simultaneous square aspect of The Reserve’s natal Mercury and Saturn. Foreigners, represented by a ninth-house Pisces Mercury, become an unreliable partner in the currency exchange pits. Mercury, squaring the natal eleventh-house Saturn, makes a supportive call for restructuring the dollar. Finally progressed Mercury squares the natal fifth-house Mercury. With rumors of the dollars demise, this aspect could only help to hamper speculators’ interest in holding dollars or any other fiat currencies. The dollar, like Tennessee Williams’ “Blanche Dubois”, depends “on the kindness of strangers”. Often a patient dies from complications rather than from the original disease: Likewise, it maybe the complications that become grievous to this monetary institution.

Undoubtedly, changes and challenges are coming to The Federal Reserve banking systems, replete with its abundance of paper promises.

When you consider the scenario of worldwide flight away from paper money to the safety of a hard asset like gold, coupled with China's and India's long-held customs of accumulating the yellow metal, you can begin to see a millennium long uptrend for the precious metal.

How's that utility bill? Energy costs going up? A little uranium, alongside the gold, in a “safe haven” investment portfolio, may help ease the financial pain of global energy changes.

Of course, we can't leave China and India out of the growing nuclear power equation. Both China and India have plans for increasing the number of nuclear power plants they already have to meet the growing energy needs of their populations. Both countries face little resistance to the building of nuclear power plants for many reasons. A “Not in my Backyard” scenario is unlikely to happen in China.

With oil becoming a less desirable source of energy due to cost, pollution, and supply instability, other energy sources will be compelled to take center stage. Nuclear power can be produced at a very attractive price compared to the projected cost of the alternatives. Pollution free, it may even become a darling of the environmentalists someday. One thing is certain, pound for pound or barrel for barrel, yellowcake uranium contains far more energy than any other source available at this time. Unlike gold, though, you won't want to own physical uranium.

Numerically speaking, uranium fits quite well in the Pythagorean picture. Being yellow in color is just the beginning. Production of nuclear power creates by-products like hydrogen. It’s hydrogen that is needed to fuel the hydrogen fuel cell powered cars of future --- the numerical future, that is. It all fits so nicely.

In recent years, and effort to accumulate uranium bearing property has spread across the globe. The search for uranium in North America has had many exploration companies focused on the Athabasca basin of Saskatchewan, Canada.

Although uranium is one of the most abundant elements on the planet, profitably rich deposits of yellowcake, found in shoestring like formations, aren’t easy to discover. It's relatively easy to chart the astrological effects on the dollar via The Federal Reserve, as it has a monopoly on its printing, but there is not one company that has a monopoly on uranium. However there is one uranium exploration company and a period coming up that astrologically may represent a turning point toward a uranium-powered era.

Uranus rules uranium, but in this case we will also look at the supported planetary actions like following bees to locate the hive. In looking for a long-lasting demand for uranium, long-term, expansive planetary influences are necessary. The Jupiter Pluto conjunction of December 11, 2007, may point the way towards uranium's role in the new millennium.

Looking at a few days ahead of that conjunction, we can compare the transiting planets to the chart of a publicly traded Canadian company, Strathmore minerals Corporation (April, 16, 1987, 12:00 P.M., Vancouver, Canada). Strathmore's goal, over the past several years, has been to accumulate much uranium-rich property as possible. These properties are extensive, making Strathmore a potential indicator to watch for a market upswing in uranium demand. With the company's natal 10th house Sun in trine aspect to the fifth house Uranus, is no wonder the Strathmore business model was to speculate solely on uranium.

To examine the natal chart for Strathmore, activated by transits of early December 2007, is like watching a flower bloom. The chart is set for the exact time (December 1, 2007, 11:28 PM., Vancouver, Canada) that transiting Jupiter forms a bountiful trine aspect to Strathmore's natal Sun. Following in the footsteps of transiting Pluto's conjunction to Strathmore's natal Uranus and is trying to the natal Sun, Jupiter serves to expand the influence of passing Pluto's long-term beneficial effects. All these conjunctions and trine aspects involving natal Uranus could actually Strathmore's uranium rich hive. These aspects, along with transiting Mercury conjunct the natal Moon, may bring news of the company’s profit potential to the general public. The transiting Sun trine the tenth-house Jupiter could help his public image too.

Numerically speaking gold and uranium are destined to become commodities the find lifestyles of the new millennium. Astrological elements enhance this view. It is possible that those who own gold or have bold and/or uranium stocks will be well prepared for the future.

Changes in the air, and with it a storm of astronomical portions looms on the horizon. The Aquarian age is coming. Now is the time to prepare. With a little planning, you can take those storm clouds of the 21st century and turned their silver linings into gold!
